FennecZero: 	Well, the mage challenges him to a battle. So, the battle ensues, and eventually, the mage grabs hold of one of his ice weapons and shoves it through his heart.
Meg the Kitsune: 	*snuggles Uni*
FennecZero: 	luckily, he missed the vital spots in him with that, and Atashi was able to heal from the battle. Unluckily, a shard of the weapon remains in his heart, having healed with him.
FennecZero: 	as a note, the shard hasn't even melted yet, and it never will...a doctor told him that, leaving him permanently fused with his own powers...
Meg the Kitsune: 	...
Meg the Kitsune: 	AI'm sure the mage didn't expect that to happen. :)
FennecZero: 	nope, actually, the mage was planning that...as soon as Atashi found the mage again, he slew him without any remorse.
Meg the Kitsune: 	*wince*
FennecZero: 	"You cursed me, and so I shall curse your soul" that's what he said before he killed the mage.
FennecZero: 	well, that's it for the story..
Meg the Kitsune: 	How is having ice powers a curse?
FennecZero: 	the shard links his soul, life, and mind into one stream, causing him to draw upon those to use his powers.
Meg the Kitsune: 	...*puzzled*
FennecZero: 	it basically means that whenever he uses his powers, he loses a bit of his own blood...if he uses too much, he faints from the effort and exertion.
Meg the Kitsune: 	Oww...
Meg the Kitsune: 	Sounds like the Paladin's 'Sacrifice'...

FennecZero: 	not to mention that if the shard is ever cut out of his body, he'll die instantly...though he will be able to get up, he'll be like a zombie, searching for the shard until it's returned.
